You've read the stories and seen the pictures. Heard about it on the news, the radio or at the supermarket. It's impossible not to know about this devastating event.
Many of us feel helpless when something like this happens; especially since these are difficult times. "What could I possibly do to help?"
Pray. Pray. Pray. Pray for these people who are in desperate need of food, shelter, and medical care. But more than praying, donate. Donate to these people so they can have food, shelter, and medical care. Take that $5 that you would've spent on your morning coffee and donate it so someone can have a meal or some clothes. Take the $1 in spare change you found under the couch and donate that. EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS.
There are over 45 bloggers (Crystal, Mercedes, and Erin to name a few) participating in a "Help for Haiti" Project. For every comment you leave on their blog, some bloggers are donating money. For some, it's every link you leave. The requirements are different but the end result is the same. Haiti will [hopefully] get more than enough help! So even if you can't personally donate, please leave comments on these blogs so that someone can!
My family is participating in the eat from the pantry challenge. I was planning on taking the extra from our grocery money and putting it in our savings account. Now I am taking the money and donating it to Haiti.
What are you doing to help? Leave a comment below until January 21, 2010 and my family and I will donate $0.25 for every comment up to $100. Then go HERE for a list of the bloggers participating and leave some more comments!
