Progresso Soups Review & Giveaway



Choosing select Progresso® Reduced Sodium soups may help lower cholesterol2 when eaten with other heart healthy, soluble fiber containing foods.

Progresso has introduced an all new soup - Tomato Parmesan Reduced Sodium - that has a unique blend of flavors in every bowl. This gives you many flavors to choose from - making it easier than ever for you to stick to your healthy diet!

Progresso sent us two of their reduced sodium soups - the Chicken Gumbo and Tomato Parmesan to try out for ourselves. They are quite good! They do not taste any different than the "regular" soups. When you're in a pinch and need a quick dinner that will fill you up for a while, soup is the way to go. Usually we make ours from scratch, but that takes some time. The other night we were running behind so I opened up the can of Chicken Gumbo. I made some bread to make it a dinner and it was a great quick and tasty meal! Hubby didn't even know it was out of a can until I told him. He didn't believe it could taste that good and be healthy for him!

  18. My tip for lowering cholesterol is to portion my plate to 1/2 veggies, 1/4 starches, and 1/4 protein. I only eat meat 3 times a week, and it seems to help!

  28. The way I try to reduce cholesterol intake with my family is to hardly ever make fried food and try to encourage more fruit and veggie cunsumption with my girls. (I need to follow my own advice with the fruit and veggies too!)

  41. Cinnamon is supposed to help lower cholesterol, so I try to sprinkle some on things I can do that on. We also cut down on our sodium intake.

  73. To help lower cholesterol in our diet, we have greatly reduced our butter use, use fat-free broths for sauteing and cooking, and use fat-free or low-fat dairy products. And drink lots of water!
