I am not an early riser. So I am rushing to get C something to eat and out the door at the same time I am rushing to get A fed and a million other things. Sometimes I look at the clock and it's 10 am and I still haven't eaten breakfast. When MyBlogSpark contacted me about doing a review on Pillsbury Toaster Strudels, I was excited. Something to make my mornings easier and allow me to eat? Heck yea I'll try it! And I am happy to report that Pillsbury Strudels passed my test! I throw them in the toaster, get A breakfast and my breakfast is ready. I throw some icing on it and am ready to help get C out the door, my breakfast in hand.
The toaster strudels are very tasty and filling. I was a little worried they would be all doughy and not enough of the gooey goodness inside. But Pillsbury Toaster Strudels have the perfect blend of flaky crust and ooey gooey filling. Add the rich, creamy icing and it's the perfect treat! The boys weren't as into them as I thought they would be. They aren't much for breakfast food anyway, and trying something new just isn't on their to do list these days. They did like drawing on my strudels with the icing though! Their favorite part was writing my name. :)You have the chance to win a prize pack just like the one I received! You'll receive a "Million Morning Smiles" prize pack that includes a Pillsbury® Doughboy® Giggle Doll, along with a smiley face-themed mug, place mat and stress ball.

ReplyDeleteTo make mornings go easier we pick out what to wear, eat, etc, the night before and set the clock on the stove a few minutes fast so get out the door on time.

We make cream of wheat the night before and separate it into single serving bowls. In the morning we nuke it and enjoy!

My daughter doesn't doodle with it, but she spreads it evenly over the entire strudel to make sure she enjoys the icing in every bite!

To make mornings easier we do a lot the night before, I set the coffee pot the night before and make the kids lunches the night before also. For breakfast we usually eat stuff from the freezer that I made weeks or even months ago. :)

ReplyDeleteWell during the School week, I make my kids lay their clothes out the night before, that way its less hectic in the mornings. And I try to plan a weeks worth of meals at a time, including breakfast that way everyone knows what they are eating and there will be no arguing about it.

During the week, one thing that makes our morning smoother is the kids get 2 choices for breakfast. Cereal or waffles/pancakes (whichever I have frozen) and fruit. This eliminates hour long discussions about what is for breakfast.

We tend to take it easy in the morning, rarely having to leave until later in the day, but when we DO have to leave early, we eat things that are quick to make and try to have our clothes and things ready to go.
